Product Shot Assignment Proposal
The goal of this assignment is to create a professional product shot. We had the freedom of choosing the lighting that we wanted and also the choice of choosing our background.
Who is your client?
Who is your client?
My client is Hugo Boss. I want to create a product shot of his cologne Boss by Hugo Boss. I want to create a shot that captures the essence of the cologne and what It represents and some of the feelings that maybe be produced when looking at the shot.
What is the product?
The product will be a bottle of Boss by Hugo Boss. I want to decorate the shot in a way where the background and the objects surrounding the product will have an excellent complementary colour theme. For example pale colours like beige and whites.
Who is your target audience?
My target audience for this assignment is people who are interested in perfumes and colognes and want to appeal to the audience to buy the product the I use for my shot. I also will be trying to produce an image that will also intrigue the general public I want it to attract your average consumer with a shot that is what the audience is looking for but shows off what the product is about and the mood I'm trying to give the audience
Where would you expect to see the advertisement?
I would expect to see my advertisement in shopping centres where my target audience would mainly be found. I would also expect to see my cologne in a magazine. Although the cologne is targetted towards men and they don't usually buy a magazine I would like to see it in a magazine so it could give people ideas for gifts for their friends and family.
What kind of lighting are you going to use to make it look professional?
Although I don't have any professional lights I would like to achieve a professional image. I hope to achieve a shot with little to no shadows. I want my main source of light to come from above the camera that is angled down to remove the shadows and keep the professional look to the shot.
What props do you need?
The props I need will need to have a cohesive look to all them. I want to incorporate a wooden kind of look to the final shot. I hope to has an organic feel to it with the neutral tones to achieve that look to the final image.
